The goal was to make an oversized whopper for BK Fam Fest marketing and outreach 6 city tour. The whopper was to be as realistic as possible and had to include all of the separate elements of a real Whopper. Two whoppers were fabricated that were used in relay "Build a Whopper" races. The whoppers were over 60” wide and 4 feet tall when assembled.
The top and bottom buns, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles are carved from upholstery foam and painted with flexible paint.
The ketchup and mayo splats are tinted self skinning expanding foam. The foam was hand poured and guided into organic shapes.
All sesame seeds were sculpted and then molded and cast from expanding foam.
