Oversized Chain Display

This display lived on in three versions.
The first was its initial creation for Anthropologie's 2017 Spring display season, "By the Sea". This oversized, nautical chain was carved from pink foam. After the foam was carved and smoothed out; multiple layers of paint were added to give the chain a rusted, underwater look and feel.
The links were carefully attached to each other and then hung from an art wall in the store to look like the mooring of a ship.
This display was brought out for its second re use in Summer of 2021 for another nautical themed display. This time the chain was smoothed and painted white with some of the chains getting a verdigris finish. The chain grounded a form grouping and was surrounded by real,, oversized rocks.
The third and final re used of this display was to be featured in Anthropologie's 30th Anniversary pop up gallery in NYC. "By hand, By heart" was an interactive installation featuring Anthropologie's most beloved displays from over the years.
